Retirement age in Poland
/
Date31 Jan 2017
In this year an important regulation for the whole of Polish society came into effect. After the parliament, which was dominated by the PiS party in the past year, it has once again overturned the previously agreed pension reform, the official retirement age as of the 1st October 2017, will be 60 years of age for women and 65 years of age for men.
The reduction in the pension age will further increase the lack of payment in pension insurance. According to the latest budgetary simulations, pensions must be subsidized by the state budget by 61 billion PLN by the year 2019, when the legislature period of the current PiS government ends.
